MET's EMC Lab declared Notified Body to EMC Directive

July 20, 2007: The European Commission has validated MET Laboratories nomination as a U.S. Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for the Electromagnetic Compatibility Sector of the U.S.-EC Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA).
MET performs the duties of a Notified Body as specified in EMC Directive 2004//108/EC. A U.S. CAB is equivalent to an EU Notified Body. MET's Baltimore lab Notified Body number is 0980.
MET's additional European Assessment Body designations include: Notified Body for the Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive, and a Conformity Assessment Body for the Low Voltage Directive.
