MET Upgrades Military EMC Test Facility
ADDED: 4/13/2005 7:29:00 AM
MET Labs, in response to an ever increasing need for MIL-STD and RTCA testing, has commissioned a new 20'x20' military testing chamber with all the needed equipment to test 24/7. This chamber is able to test most devices intended for use by the military aircraft industries. Easily modifiable to evacuate exhaust from internal combustion engines, and capable of testing all frequency ranges, this exciting addition further enhances MET's ability to meet its customers scheduling and testing needs. All three of MET's locations are ISO 17025 accredited for MIL STD and RTCA testing.
Additionally, a customized acrylic table built to MET's specifications, was added when MET's extensive testing of various materials revealed acrylic to provide the least attenuation at the highest frequencies. A new bird antenna has also been added with twice the beam width of the standard antenna affording a larger measuring area, significantly reducing the subsequent measurements to be made, reducing the overall test time.
