ADDED: 2/14/2005 7:41:00 AM
EPCglobal Inc™ with MET Laboratories held “Round 2” of Interoperability testing for Generation 1 EPC tags, readers, and printer/encoders. The purpose for this event is to provide guidance to End Users as they select EPC hardware products that work together to enable early pilots and implementations.
Testing was conducted from Feb-15-2005 to Feb-17-2005 at the MET Baltimore facility and was open to all solution providers in the EPCglobal community with Generation 1 (class 0 and 1) products.
Three different manufacturers of printers, six manufacturers of readers and six manufactureres of tags attended this testing event. Each reader and printer/encoder device performed a series of tests against each tag of appropriate class (0 or 1). While device manufacturer representatives observed these tests on their devices, MET labs personnel directed, performed and recorded the test procedure and results.
