Upgrades Provide State-of-the-Art EMC Testing in Silicon Valley
ADDED: 2/12/2003 2:32:00 PM

Comprehensive upgrades to MET's 10-meter ambient-free chamber in Santa Clara now provide state-of-the-art 3-meter and 10-meter EMC testing in the heart of Silicon Valley. This chamber is capable of testing large systems on its 6-meter, 10+ ton turntable.

MET has replaced the turntable controller and installed MET proprietary software that will vastly increase the speed and efficiency of Radiated Emissions testing and troubleshooting.

Physical modifications were done with the assistance of the original chamber manufacturer. The turntable was upgraded to improve ground plane conductivity. The brushes electrically connecting the turntable with the ground plane were removed and replaced. The absorber cones were serviced, repairing damaged portions and recoating them with protective covering. The result of these upgrades and modifications is a highly compliant chamber with an excellent Normalized Site Attenuation profile.

Finally, the black and white cameras have been replaced with state-of-the-art Fiber Optic Controlled Two Color Camera System from ETS Lindgren.
