European Standards Update

EMC customers should be aware of
several important changes to EN
standards.
EN 55022:1998 with Amendment
A1:2000 will be required by August 1, 2003. Also required this year is EN 61204-3:2000, EMC for Low Voltage Power Supplies, DC Output. This is
a new standard superceding Generic Standard for these devices, and becomes mandatory November 1, 2003.
ETSI EN 300 386:2001 ver 1.3.1 will
be required by December 31, 2004.
This standard relaxes many
requirements from the superceded
standards, and is recommended for implementation right away.
