Third Party Inspections

MET Laboratories is now authorized to perform Third Party Electrical Inspections to National Electrical Code Requirements by the State of Maryland.
As a Maryland Third Party Electrical Inspection Agency, MET Laboratories, with local approval, may inspect, certify and approve for any type of occupancy, the installation of electrical equipment, fixtures, and services.
In addition to Third Party Electrical Inspections, MET Laboratories provides Field Evaluations of electrical equipment. All electrical equipment defined under OSHA in a workplace must be evaluated to comply with National standards – and it must bear the mark of a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory.
MET Laboratories is the only Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) operating in the State of Maryland. With the addition of Third Party Electrical Inspection services, MET Laboratories provides the complete range of N.E.C.-required inspections in the State of Maryland.
Third party assessment of electrical equipment is still required under Federal OSHA standards, and is not confined to new construction. Inspections can also be completed on existing structures and sites of disaster where electrical safety is an issue – to protect the public from harm, and the insure that the quality of recognized electrical wiring practices is maintained.
