Verizon
Designates MET Laboratories as Independent Test Laboratory
for NEBS Certification
MET
Laboratories, a pioneer in NEBS testing and certification,
has been designated a certified Independent Test Laboratory
(ITL) by Verizon under their newly-announced NEBS Testing
Certification Program. As a Verizon-Certified ITL, MET will
conduct complete NEBS testing and
certification to Verizon requirements, at MET facilities in
Maryland and California.
Verizon, the nation’s largest Telecommunications Carrier,
announced MET’s selection October 8 at its Eighth Annual
NEBS Conference in Las Vegas, co-sponsored by Verizon and
Telcordia. MET’s selection followed a detailed application
process and was based upon the extensive experience that MET
has gained in testing products for compliance to Verizon NEBS
requirements.
“We’ve worked hard to become one of the few labs
in the world that can offer complete NEBS (Network Equipment-Building
System) testing on both the East and West Coasts,” said
Robert Frier, President of MET Laboratories. “Over the
last decade MET has conducted more complete NEBS Testing programs
than any other Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL)
in the world. Now we’re ready to set the standard for
Verizon certification as well.”
